Health Professions at USD The University of San Diego has a pre-health advising program designed
to prepare students for admission into health professional schools. We have
superb academic and career advising , undergraduate research , and internship
opportunities for all students. Our pre-health students have a wealth of
opportunities to develop their leadership skills and become engaged in a
variety of extracurricular activities. CURRENT STUDENTS: Visit the Pre-Health and National Awards Advising Office website at http://www.sandiego.edu/prehealth/ If you would like to receive e-mail invitations to health profession events, please contact Carol Moffett SCST251 (619)260-2944 or email moffett@sandiego.edu with ‘Pre-Health' as the subject line. THE HEALTH SCIENCES STUDENT EVALUATION COMMITTEE: The committee is charged with writing letters of recommendation for USD students applying to health professional schools. For information about requesting a committee letter, click here. Choosing a Major Students should choose a major in a field that interests them and plan to take prerequisite courses in their pre-health field of interest along with their major coursework. The most important thing is that you have a strong academic record. Health Professional schools want to see breadth of strength so it is important to do well in your general education courses as well as your major courses- a strong Liberal Arts education is very valuable!
