The University of San Diego offers several avenues for scientific pursuits.  Specialized study in the sciences is represented by seven majors offered by our four departments, and introductory courses in the sciences are available to non-science majors.  Science majors at USD complete a series of introductory science courses in all major disciplines, as well as a comprehensive core curriculum in the other liberal arts.

All students are encouraged to study abroad, and the affiliated programs are available to science majors to work towards their specialization while immersed in other cultures.  Students interested in professional training in the health sciences are advised by the pre-health sciences program.
