What We Need in Return

Every year, there’s a national impact study conducted for all SBDC clients who received five or more hours of consulting services. The survey reaches out to clients who received services two years before and asks questions about how each business is doing. The survey takes about 10 minutes. The questions focus mainly on the business milestones that impact the economy: jobs created or retained, increase in sales, capital infusion received, etc. It also asks clients to share whether and how the SBDC was helpful in attaining those milestones.

All the information is aggregated (no businesses outcomes are shared individually) and the report is made available to Congress as they consider whether to continue funding the SBDC program. We ask that all clients participate in this survey.
