Summary: At approximately 1710 Public Safety officers responded to a report of a burglarized vehicle. Upon investigation, an unknown individual had shattered the window of a resident student’s vehicle that was parked and secured off campus along Via Las Cumbres Road. The face plate to her stereo was missing, though no other items were missing.

Summary: At approximately 1035 Public Safety officers responded to a report of a stolen University-owned vehicle. Upon investigation, a large passenger-van that had been parked in the Alcala Vista Parking Lot D had been stolen sometime between 12/13/2008 and 12/23/2008. There were no signs of forced entry in the area, and it is unknown if the van had been secured.

Summary: At approximately 2326 Public Safety officers observed a female being supported by two other females. Upon investigation, the female who was unable to walk on her own was identified as a resident student, and was determined to be too intoxicated to care for herself. The student was voluntarily transported to Detox (BAC .127). The two females supporting her were non-students, and left campus via a cab service to another location.

Summary: At approximately 1645 Public Safety officers responded to a report of a flare being lit by three individuals and then left on a sidewalk that borders the University Terrace Apartments. Upon investigation, the individuals were contacted and two were identified as resident students. The third individual was the students’ guest, and was responsible for lighting the flare. There was no damage to the surrounding area, and the two students were cited for using the flare, and for lying to University officials.

Summary: At approximately 0111 Public Safety officers responded to a report of residence hall window being broken by an empty liquor bottle. Upon investigation, a resident student had several individuals over for a gathering, during which there was a minor physical altercation between two resident students that involved shoving and threatening words. Following the physical altercation, one resident student allegedly threw an empty liquor bottle over a balcony and shattered a nearby residence hall window. One resident student was cited for MIP, hosting, and for threatening another individual with two butter knives. Another resident student was cited for vandalizing USD property, and a third resident student was cited for hosting a party with minors present. No one was injured in the altercation.

Summary: At approximately 0235 Public Safety officers observed a resident student drive into the Mission Parking Structure, and heard a loud popping sound shortly thereafter. Upon investigation, the student had been driving under the influence of alcohol, had run over a parking barricade and was subsequently arrested by SDPD (BAC .144). One of the two guests in the vehicle was identified as a resident student, and the other guest was not affiliated with the University. The non-student became belligerent verbally aggressive, and was advised not to return to campus.

Location: MANCHESTER VILLAGE AREA
Summary: At approximately 0414 Public Safety officers responded to a report of two resident students who were possibly intoxicated. Upon investigation, one student was lying on the floor near vomit, and another individual was asleep on the couch in their residence hall room. Both students exhibited signs of intoxication, and were determined to be unable to care for themselves. They were voluntarily transported to Detox, where one student was rejected for poor behavior. The student that was rejected was placed in the custody of SDPD.

Location: ALCALA VISTAS AREA
Summary: At approximately 2140 Public Safety officers observed a vehicle with no license plate driving on campus. Upon investigation, the driver was identified as a resident student, and exhibited signs of being under the influence of marijuana. A voluntary search of the vehicle resulted in one marijuana joint that was documented and destroyed. The student was cited for being in possession and under the influence of marijuana.
