Summary: At approximately 1102 the Department of Public Safety received a report of a hit and run involving a commuter student’s vehicle. Upon investigation, an unknown individual had struck the rear passenger door panel, damaging the rear bumper and leaving white paint transfer. There was no other damage to the vehicle.

Summary: At approximately 1501 the Department of Public Safety received a report of a phallic image that had been drawn in the dust on a resident student’s vehicle window. Upon investigation, an unknown individual had used their finger to trace an inappropriate image on the student’s vehicle. There was no permanent damage to the window.

Location: UNIVERSITY TERRACE APARTMENTS
Summary: At approximately 9:22pm on Friday, April 3, a resident University of San Diego student witnessed a male subject look through her University Terrace Apartment closet window as she was in her closet. The suspect was only able to be observed through a 12” opening at the bottom of the window, and was last seen wearing a blue shirt and jeans. USD Department of Public Safety was contacted by the student twenty minutes after the incident occurred. Public Safety officers immediately responded and checked the surrounding areas. Summary: At approximately 1423 the Department of Public Safety received a late report of vandalism to university property. Upon investigation, a phallic image and letters spelling “tation” were drawn in permanent marker on an exterior door of a residential hall. General Services was immediately contacted to remove the images around 04/01/2009, though Public Safety was not notified until 04/27/2009.

Summary: At approximately 1713 the Department of Public Safety received a theft report involving a resident student’s personal property. Upon investigation, an unknown individual had taken a wallet, cards and cash totaling $30 from an unsecured and unattended cubby hole in the JCP gym. No other items were missing.

Summary: At approximately 1206 the Department of Public Safety received a report of a physical altercation involving two university community members. Upon investigation, SDPD was contacted, and both the victim and the suspect were removed from campus. The victim sustained minor injuries and received medical attention.

Location: SAN MIGUEL HALL
Summary: At approximately 4:22pm on Wednesday, April 29, a resident University of San Diego student observed a subject that appeared to be crouching in order to look under a San Miguel Hall shower stall. The individual has been described as fair-skinned, and left immediately after being verbally confronted by the student. USD Department of Public Safety was contacted by the student immediately after the incident occurred. Public Safety officers responded but were unable to locate any persons of interest due to the limited description. The incident remains under investigation. Anyone having any information regarding this incident or observing suspicious activity is encouraged to contact Public Safety at 619-260-2222. Your safety and security are extremely important to us. We urge resident students to lock their windows and doors, and to exercise caution when allowing unknown individuals into secured residential halls. Summary: At approximately 2359 the Department of Public Safety responded to assist a Resident Assistant with students who were possibly under the influence of marijuana and alcohol. Upon investigation, Resident Assistants cited five students for Minor in Possession. Two of those students also received additional citations for Hosting. It was determined that no student was under the influence of marijuana.
