Summary: At approximately 1416 Public Safety responded to a report of a suspicious individual that had made unwanted contact with two female students. Upon investigation the individual was described as an Asian male in his late 20s to mid 30s, between 5’4 and 5’8, muscular build and weighing approximately 150-160 pounds. The individual asked two female students to watch his backpack. The individual also asked the female students for their phone numbers and their first and last names. Upon further investigation the individual could not be located.

Summary: On March 28, 2008 at approximately 12:30 p.m., a hate crime was reported to USD's Department of Public Safety (case 08-00328). The incident involved two bias-related statements which had been written on the door of an apartment in San Antonio de Padua, in permanent marker. The incident is said to have occurred between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on 3/28/2008. Public Safety Officers took photos of the statements and the investigation into this crime continues. Anyone with knowledge of the incident is encouraged to contact the Department of Public Safety at (619)260-7777. The University of San Diego will not tolerate hate crimes or any bias-related incidents and will respond to them with appropriate sanctions.

Summary: At approximately 0209 Public Safety observed a vehicle driving erratically on campus. Upon investigation the driver and passenger of the vehicle were contacted, identified as resident students and found to be in possession of alcohol in the vehicle. The passenger was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself (BAC .213), and was voluntarily transported to detox. The passenger was also found to be in possession of a fake ID. The driver was cited for Minor in Possession.

Summary: On March 30, 2008 at approximately 9:19 p.m., a hate crime was reported to USD's Department of Public Safety. The incident involved a bias-related statement which had been written on a poster on a bulletin board of a resident hall room in San Luis, in permanent marker. The incident is said to have occurred between 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on 3/30/2008. Public Safety Officers took photos of the statement and the investigation into this crime continues.
