Location: MAIN PARKING STRUCTURE
Summary: At approximately 0318 Public Safety responded to a report of large fight in the Main Parking Structure involving various individuals who were returning from Tijuana. Upon investigation, six non-USD college students were contacted and interviewed by USD Public Safety Officers.  According to witnesses, three of the non-USD students were identified as being involved in the fight.   One USD student was transported to the hospital due to injuries sustained in the fight.   The initial investigation indicates that the fight was a result of a dispute that occurred earlier in Tijuana.  All parties involved indicated that they did not want to pursue criminal charges.  The incident has been referred to Student Affairs.

Summary: At approximately 1447 a bias incident was reported to USD's Department of Public Safety. Early in the afternoon, a request was posted on a whiteboard on the door of a resident's room in the San Rafael residence hall asking for quotes from the television show "Family Guy".  The whiteboard read "Suggestions for Family Guy Theme? Any quotes?" Between 2 and 2:45 p.m., someone posted a bias-related quote on the board. A public safety officer was called to investigate the incident.  Anyone with knowledge of the incident is asked to call the Department of Public Safety at (619)260-7777. The University of San Diego will not tolerate bias-related incidents and will respond to them with appropriate sanctions.

Summary: At approximately 0923 a University of San Diego student was approached by a stranger in the area of Mildred and Goshen Streets (near the University Terrace Apartments) who then made inappropriate comments and exposed himself to the student.
The suspect is described as a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and red shorts. Immediately following the incident, the student notified USD’s department of Public Safety who immediately responded and who also contacted the San Diego Police Department. At this time, the suspect has not been apprehended.

Summary: At approximately 1623 a hate crime was reported to USD's Department of Public Safety. The incident involved two bias-related statements which had been written on two resident hall room doors with a permanent marker. Public Safety Officers took photos of the statements and immediately arranged to have Facilities Management paint over the statements, however, the investigation into these crimes continues.  Anyone with knowledge of the incident is encouraged to contact the Department of Public Safety at (619)260-7777. The University of San Diego will not tolerate hate crimes or any bias-related incidents and will respond to them with appropriate sanctions.

Location: OFFCAMPUS-GOOSHEN AND LINDA VISTA
Summary: At approximately 0745 Public Safety observed graffiti on a retaining wall near the University Terrace Apartments.  Upon investigation no other graffiti was found in the area and Facilities Management was contacted to paint over the graffiti.

Incident Class & Type: SERVICE SKATEBOARDING VIOLATION ON CAMPUS
Location: MORRIS DR @ OLIN
Summary: At approximately 1907 Public Safety observed two individuals skateboarding on campus.  Upon investigation the two subjects fled the area but were later contacted and identified as non-students. The individuals were advised of the university’s skateboarding policy and complied with the request to leave campus.
