Summary: Public Safety Officers responded to a report of a man in a vehicle who appeared to be acting suspiciously. The Officers identified the individual and determined that he did not have business on the campus. The individual was advised of trespassing and removed from the campus.

Location: Public Safety
Summary: Public Safety Officers were able to identify the individual responsible for a recent burglary involving the theft of a student’s book bag near the University Dining Center. The individual was arrested by USD Public Safety and booked into jail by San Diego Police. Campus Alert – Residence Life and Public Safety want to remind all students of the importance of securing their rooms. This includes securing the doors and the windows.  If students have any concerns about the ability to secure their windows or their doors, they are asked to contact a residence life staff member immediately. Students are strongly encouraged to contact Public Safety at extension 2222 anytime they notice something that appears to be suspicious. Anyone having any information regarding the recent burglary incidents are strongly encouraged to contact Public Safety.

Summary: At approximately 1:05 A.M., Public Safety Officers were conducting routine patrol, when they observed a passenger of a vehicle yelling out the window, while the driver of the vehicle was honking its horn. Upon further investigation, the Officers determined the driver of the vehicle was intoxicated and driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Public Safety Officers arrested the driver and San Diego Police booked him into county jail for DUI. His BAC level was .127.

Summary: Public Safety Officers responded to a report of two unconscious females lying on the floor of the Manchester Village residence hall. Upon evaluating the females of their condition, one of the Public Safety Officers was battered by the resident female student, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. She was booked into county jail by San Diego Police for battering a school employee. The non USD female was determined to be intoxicated and unable to care for her self and was transported to Detox.
