Summary: At approximately 0933, a Public Safety officer observed a blue SUV being driven erratically and at an accelerated rate of speed (approx. 55mph) through a stop sign and around campus. The officer attempted a traffic stop, however the vehicle left campus via the Vistas entrance. A plate number and vehicle description was obtained, and SDPD is currently handling this issue.

Summary: At approximately 0032, a Public Safety officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign while driving at an excessive rate of speed. Upon investigation, the driver was contacted, identified as a resident, and was under the influence of alcohol. The student was cited for DUI (BAC .100), reckless driving, and for violating California seatbelt laws. There were five other people in the vehicle, though no one else was under the influence of alcohol. SDPD had no available units to respond, however SDPD was notified of the incident and provided a copy of the Public Safety report.
