Summary: At approximately 1134 a Public Safety officer responded to a report of grand theft of electronic equipment from the West Parking Structure between 1700 on 7/11/2008 and 0730 on 7/12/2008. The equipment was associated with the Ironworker event located in the West Parking Lot. Upon investigation, the off-campus security personnel assigned to the area had taken a break, and upon his return, found the items missing. Earlier in the evening, private security had confronted a suspicious individual in the area. There were no signs of forced entry.

Summary: At approximately 2040 a Public Safety officer responded to the report of a grand theft of a TV from the Law School. A graduate student observed the TV being removed and placed into a vehicle prior to calling Public Safety. Upon investigation, the TV cables were found to have been forcibly removed from the monitor, and the monitor placed in a private vehicle. Video surveillance is being reviewed for possible suspect information.

Summary: At approximately 1020 the Department of Public Safety received a report of a bias related incident. The incident involved a bias-related statement that had been written on the sidewalk leading to a campus recreation facility in chalk and crayon. The bias-related statement was immediately removed by General Services. Upon receiving the report, Public Safety Officers took photos of the inappropriate statement and commenced an investigation to find the person(s) responsible for the incident.
