Summary: At approximately 2250 Public Safety responded to a report of the smell of marijuana coming from a resident hall room.  Upon investigation by Public Safety and Residential Life there was no one in the room but drug paraphernalia and empty alcohol bottles were found in the room. Two resident students were cited for Minor in Possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Summary: At approximately 2136 Public Safety responded to a report of two female students who were approached by a male claiming to be an undercover Public Safety officer and requested to see the female’s identification. Public Safety immediately responded to the location but the male was no longer in the area. The individual is described as a White male, 5’9-5’10, in his 20’s with dark brown curly hair, unshaven wearing khaki or light brown zip up jacket and jeans. Public Safety does not have any undercover officers. Public Safety in conjunction with Residential Life, immediately posted flyers throughout the various residence halls advising residents of this incident and encouraging them to report any suspicious activity immediately. Anyone observing suspicious activity is asked to immediately contact Public Safety at (619) 260-2222.

Summary: At approximately 2031 Public Safety officers were dispatched to assist resident assistants who had discovered a threatening note while investigating a marijuana incident in a resident's room.  Due to the inappropriateness of the note, San Diego Police were notified and USD's Threat Assessment Team was activated.  During the investigation, two residents concurred that the note was written as a joke in response to on-going banter between roommates.  The case has been referred to Student Affairs for disciplinary review.

Summary: At approximately 1552 Public Safety responded to a report of a vehicle that had been broken into between 0000 and 0700 on 2/19/2008.  Upon investigation there were several papers lying on both the driver and passenger seats and it appeared as if the vehicle had been rummaged through. Upon further investigation there was no damage to the vehicle and no items were missing from the vehicle.
