Summary: At approximately 1031, while on routine foot patrol, Public Safety observed the odor of marijuana coming from a parked vehicle. Upon investigation the owner of the vehicle was found in the vehicle, was contacted and identified as a resident student. Upon further investigation various drug paraphernalia items, baggies and marijuana in excess of an ounce were found in the vehicle. SDPD was contacted due to the amount of marijuana and the individual was arrested for possession of marijuana and intent to sell.

Summary: At approximately 1208, Public Safety responded to a report of a possibly bias motivated statement that had been scratched into the toilet paper dispenser in a men’s restroom. Upon investigation, it was determined that bias motivated words had been written in permanent marker and scratched into the toilet paper dispenser. The university’s Critical Incident Response Team was notified and has reviewed the incident.
