As a component of compliance, this crime log is written and updated on a daily basis, and contains information regarding crimes and major incidents reported at USD. The most recent 60 days are available for public inspection at any time in person (Hughes Administration Center, room 150), or online by clicking the links above. Summary: On September 15, 2014 at approximately 10:20 the Department of Public Safety responded to a report of a vehicle that was damaged while parked in the Immaculata Parish Church West parking lot. Upon investigation, the vehicle had damage on the left side of the bumper. The damage was said to have occurred between 12:15 and 16:30 on September 11, 2014 after she arrived at home and noticed the damage. Summary: On September 15, 2014 at approximately 12:20 the Department of Public Safety responded to a report of a vehicle that was damaged while parked in the Alcala West parking lot on September 9, 2014 between 10:00 and 14:00. Upon investigation, the vehicle had damage on the rear passenger’s side door and fender. The owner of the vehicle reported that her roommate had witnessed a vehicle hit her car but the roommate was unable to identify the responsible vehicle. Officers located and confiscated a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. SDPD was contacted and the individual was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

The bicycle was described as a light blue color with a basket frame on the front handlebars and having a rear taillight. Upon investigation, the owner stated that the bicycle had been secured in the Missions B Lot bike rack on August 30, 2014. The bicycle was discovered missing on September 1, 2014. The approximately value of the bike is $300.

However, her Kate Spade cross bag appeared to be missing and is valued at $300.00.

Summary: On September 1, 2014 at approximately 21:12 The Department of Public Safety responded to a report of the theft of a bicycle from the Vistas Palomar area. Upon investigation the owner stated that the bicycle had been secured in the bike racks adjacent to the front desk area of the Palomar building. It was then determined that the bicycle had been located the day before and was in fact not secure to the bike rack, and was then removed for safe keeping by Public Safety until the owner of the bicycle could be determined.
