Clery Compliance Committee

CHARGE - March 2017

The Clery Compliance Committee includes an interdisciplinary team of stakeholders charged with overseeing the University of San Diego’s compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act [20 USC § 1092(f)].  The Committee will review and make recommendations regarding University policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Clery Act.  Recommendations will be made to the Vice President of University Operations, the Assistant Vice President for Public Safety, and the Office of General Counsel as needed.  The Committee will meet at least once each semester and more regularly as needed.  Complying with applicable laws, regulations and policies is a shared responsibility of each member of the university community and is central to the advancement of USD’s mission and core values.

Membership of the Clery Compliance Committee includes the following departments. Subcommittees may be created on an as needed basis to facilitate the functions of the Committee.  Additional campus members may be added to various subcommittees on an ad hoc basis.
