The Residence Hall Association

The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is an organization that aims to improve campus life for residents. In addition to planning free events for students, RHA serves as the active voice on campus for residents, assessing and reporting the needs and concerns of residents. Getting involved in RHA is a great way to meet other students, plan great events, become a student leader, as well as serve and improve the USD community.

In order to enhance and promote a positive living environment on campus, we plan a combination of social, cultural, and educational programs as well as community service opportunities. These events are planned by the individual hall councils that are established for each living area (Camino/Founders, Maher, Missions A/San Buenaventura, Missions B, Vistas, and Manchester). Each hall council consists of residents who live in the particular living area.

The Residence Hall Association also organizes exciting and fun annual events. We kick off every school year with the highly anticipated Broomball, where students meet at the local ice rink in the San Diego community. Other events to look out for during the year include the Maher Haunted House, RHA Week, the Faculty/ Student Softball Game, Winter Wonderland, and the amazing Battle of the Bands charity fundraiser.

We are here to make living on campus an enriching and enjoyable experience. For more information about RHA at USD, any of our program/events, or how to become a student leader please contact the RHA office at (619) 260-2781 or email us at rha@sandiego.edu.

For more information you can download the RHA brochure here.
