Only residents during the Fall 2011- Spring 2012, taking classes or working a minimum of 15 hours per week are eligible to remain on campus during Intersession unless they live in Manchester Village, San Antonio de Padua Apartments, University Terrace Apartments, or the Presidio Terrace Apartments. Classes at a university or college other than USD are permitted. Please know that Intersession rooms will be the same as the room one has for the fall and spring semesters.
Residents of Manchester Village, University Terrace, San Antonio de Padua, and the Presidio Terrace Apartments still need notify their Resident Staff of their occupancy dates during Christmas break and Intersession. Your RA or ACD will provide you more information on how to do this.
Accommodations
Check-in will begin at 12 noon on Monday, January 2, 2012. All 2012 spring semester on-campus students who also reside on campus during Intersession may remain in their rooms through the start of spring semester classes on Thursday, January 26, 2012. Students not returning for the Spring semester must check out by 12 noon on Monday, January 23, 2012.
Sign Up Process
The online Intersession housing portal will open at 10 am on Monday, October 17. To sign up for Intersession 2012 on-campus housing, please complete the following steps before the application deadline of 12 noon on Thursday, December 15, 2011:
- Fill out the online application
- Bring to the Residential Life Office verification of classes (either from USD or another college) that you will be taking over Intersession, OR, a letter from your employer stating that you will be working for a minimum of 15 hours per week. Please have the letter on company letterhead
Intersession Rate
The cost of staying for Intersession is $400, or $32 a day for staying any portion of intersession. There will be a $65 late fee for anyone who signs up late or improperly. Intersession housing fees will be automatically assessed to your student account.
Intersession Deadline
Everyone must fill out the online application and submit the letter verification of classes / employment by noon Thursday, December 15th to be eligible for Intersession housing.
