2018 Spring Housing Sign Up

  • Returning Student Spring Move In: Sunday, January 28 at 10AM
  • New First Year and Transfer Student Spring can begin Move In: Wednesday, January 24 at 10AM
  • New International Student Spring Move In: Monday, January 22 at 10AM

The spring housing application will be available November 1 at 10AM. Please contact Residential Life at housing@sandiego.edu or 619-260-4777 with additional questions about the spring housing sign-up process. New spring admits with further questions, please contact admissions@sandiego.edu.

Returning upperclassman and transfer housing is VERY limited and not guaranteed for students that are not a part of the two-year residency requirement. Students will be placed in rooms on a rolling basis based on the date the application was submitted. There is an off-campus housing resource that students can be connected with by contacting housing@sandiego.edu or 619-260-4777.

Please note that first year students and second year students are required to live on campus to fulfill the two year residency requirement. If you do not contact Residential Life you will still be booked and billed for spring housing so we encourage you to contact our office in October in order for our staff to better accommodate your housing preferences.

If you already know a specific roommate and/or room that you would like to move into, please email housing@sandiego.edu with your request as soon as possible. While Residential Life does not guarantee building or occupancy type, we will do our best to accommodate your request if mutually agreed upon by the other residents in that room/apartment and submitted in a timely manner. If you do not request a specific room, you will be placed in an available room that best fits your preferences that you list on the application.

Keep in mind that if you need housing during intersession that you will need to complete a separate application. The intersession application will be available November 1 at 10AM. The daily rate for intersession is $35 for a shared room or $43 for a single room not to exceed $400. We will do our best to accommodate new residents moving into their spring room. In order to accommodate January 2nd or 3rd arrivals make sure to submit your application by December 15 to avoid a late application fee.

2018 Spring Break Housing Sign Up

Non continuous residence halls will be closed Saturday, March 24 at noon and will reopen Monday, April 2 at 10AM. Non continuous residence halls include all first year areas, the Alcala Vistas and San Buenaventura. If you live in one of these areas and are interested in staying on campus during spring break please complete the Spring Break E-form by Monday, March 19 at 5PM to avoid a late application fee of $65.  The e-form outlines the cost of staying on campus during spring break.

If you will be on campus for Spring Break please join Residential Life for Easter Brunch (details will be finalized in March).

Continuous residence halls will remain open for residents at no additional cost. Continuous residence halls include Manchester Village, San Antonio de Padua, University Terrace Apartments and Presidio Terrace Apartments. If you live in one of these areas and are interested in staying on campus during spring break please notify your Resident Assistant.

Continuous Occupancy

Continuous occupancy (including Christmas Break, Intersession and Spring Break) is available at no additional expense only for those nonfreshman Residents in the San Antonio de Padua, Presidio Terrace, University Terrace Apartments and Manchester Village who fulfill the full 2017-2018 academic year agreement. Any Resident who does not fulfill the full 2017-2018 academic year agreement shall pay the room fees established for those periods and paid by Residents in other campus housing buildings.

Move Out Dates

Law Students move out date is no later than noon on Sunday, May 13, 2018.

For all graduate residents, move out date will be 24 hours after your last final or noon on Thursday, May 24, 2018, whichever comes first.

For all undergraduate residents, move out date will be twenty-four hours after the Resident’s last examination or noon on Thursday, May 24, 2018, whichever comes earlier.

For all students who will be graduating on the weekend of May 26-27, move out date will be no later than noon on Monday, May 28, 2018.
