Intersession Housing

Only residents taking classes or working a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible to remain on campus during Intersession unless they live in Manchester Village, University Terrace, or the Presidio Terrace Apartments. Housing is available for Intersession beginning at noon on Wednesday, January 2, 2008. Verification of class schedule or work hours is required. Classes at a university or college other than USD are permitted.

Applications for Intersession housing can be obtained in the Intersession bulletin and at the Residential Life Office located in the Mission Crossroads. Everyone must submit an application by Monday, December 17, 2007. You must include verification of classes or work schedule with your application.

Residents of Manchester Village, University Terrace and the Presidio Terrace Apartments are not subject to the Intersession housing charges. However, residents of these areas should notify their Resident Staff of their occupancy dates during Christmas break and Intersession break by using the Intersession Housing application or sending something in writing.

Housing Costs
Please Note: The fee for Intersession housing is applicable for all students who are living on campus either due to class attendance or employment. Use of the term "on-campus students" refers to current USD students who live on campus during both the Fall and Spring semesters. "Off-campus students" refer to all others, including students attending USD only for the Intersession and current USD students who live off campus during either Fall or Spring semester. Accommodations from noon on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 until noon on Thursday, January 24, 2008 (off-campus students).

On-Campus Students $400.00
Off-Campus Students $600.00
NOTE: Non-resident housing will not be offered..

 

 


Housing Check-In

Check-in will began at noon on Wednesday, January 2, 2008. (No room assignment notification will be mailed.) Room keys will be issued only if the housing fee has been paid in full.

Please Note: Although university housing rooms are furnished with basic items (bed, desk, etc.), students must provide their own towels, sheets, blankets, and pillows.

Place
On-campus students may reside in their academic-year rooms and should report to the following areas for check-in.

  • Camino/Founders and Maher residents check-in with their Resident Director, Resident Assistant, or Missions Crossroads Desk.
  • Mission Housing Complex residents check in at the Mission Crossroads desk.
  • Alcala Vista residents check in at the desk in Palomar Hall.

 

Housing Check-Out
All on-campus students may remain in their rooms for the start of Spring semester on Monday, January 28, 2008. There will be no additional charge to on-campus students for these extra days.
