Studies reveal that the top three buildings considered by students when making application to a school are: residence halls, student centers, and recreation/wellness centers.

The new facility will also aid in the retention of on-campus residential students by greatly improving USD’s capacity to develop programs that focus on holistic approaches to recreation and wellness, to cultivate a strong sense of community and pride, to enhance the University’s ability to respond to students’ needs, and to provide more opportunities for students, faculty and staff to interact and participate in physical fitness and recreation activities.
