Residential Learning Communities (RLCs)

Residential Learning Communities (RLC) are an exciting addition to our Residence Halls. They provide a living/learning environment that encourages personal enrichment and the achievement of shared educational goals. RLC provide students with the opportunity to share their talents and pursue their interests with like-minded people. Each RLC has an advisor who facilitates programming that fits with the theme of the RLC. Residents can expect academic and peer support from their advisor, Residential Life Staff and their fellow residents.

For more information about Residential Learning Communities please contact the Residential Life Office at 619-260-4777.

Residential Learning Communities (RLCs) for First Year Students

The University Ministry RLCs will be located in Camino/Founders and Missions A. These RLCs welcome all First Year Students who are interested in growing spiritually and building a supportive community. Residents are offered many opportunities to live out their faith through weekly floor socials, retreats, and community service projects. In addition to the Resident Assistant, a Resident Minister lives within the area to act as a spiritual mentor, to help build on the floors and within the residential community, and to introduce new members to the larger University Ministry community.
