FERPA Authorization
Students may grant the university permission to release information about their records to a third party such as parents or step-parents, to name a few. Just complete the FERPA authorization online.
Students must complete a separate entry for each parent, family member, or other individual to whom they wish to grant access to information regarding student records.
How to Release Student Records
Log into your MySanDiego portal and click on the FERPA page on the left side. Complete the Profile and Authorization tabs for each authorized user.
