Certificates in Real Estate
Developed by the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate in collaboration with the Office of Corporate and Professional Education, this University of San Diego certificate program is designed for real estate, finance and development industry professionals who want to expand their practical knowledge base and learn today's most cutting-edge best practices.
Classes begin monthly and can be taken on an ad hoc basis or within a prescribed curriculum to earn either the University of San Diego Certificate in Real Estate Finance, Investments and Development OR the University of San Diego Certificate in Real Estate Entitlement, Development and Design. Program courses are taught by local industry experts.
Two certificates are available to choose from:
Certificate in Real Estate Finance, Investments and Development
Designed to provide top competitive skills in how to finance, develop, operate and manage, market and sell a commercial real estate project, students will explore the legal aspects as well as other important elements of development and project management. Students will gain the educational knowledge to compete in today's changing market.
Certificate in Real Estate Entitlement, Development and Design
Created to help professionals better understand the mandated, complex and time-consuming processes involved in every land use decision, these courses clarify the entitlement, environmental impact and permitting procedures. Students will learn how to incorporate sustainable measures into site planning, energy-efficient approaches and building design.
Real Estate Continuing Education Seminars
In addition to the certificate programs, we also offer three-hour training seminars which are stand-alone programs designed to educate the San Diego business community about pertinent issues and teach cutting-edge best practices. Seminar topics and presenters change annually.
