UNDERGRADUATE ALUMNI
Padraic Downey recently was promoted to managing director of the technical division of Debit Technologies, Inc. of Golden, Colo. He works directly with the director of operations and chief executive officer. He reports that he has been able to return to San Diego on business to see the exciting new developments at USD. … Kate (Berg) Galindo married Cesar Galindo on Aug. 30, 2003. Included in the wedding party were best man David Berg ’03 and maid of honor Christine Keays ’01. The couple recently moved to Monterey, Calif., where Kate is pursuing her master’s degree at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. … Ryan Jacobsen spent two weeks in Greece and planned to return to San Diego for homecoming.
GRADUATE AND LAW SCHOOL ALUMNI
Kathleen Hughart (M.A.) works at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice as a writing assistant in the Women PeaceMakers Program. Earlier in the year, she lectured on several subjects at the Oasis Institute in the San Diego neighborhood of Mission Valley. … Michael Roberts (M.B.A.) is a program/project manager at REMEC, a microwave electronics manufacturer. He also is a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy Reserves and was deployed to Kuwait in 2003 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Kristen Iacobelli spent two summers after graduation working in Amherst, Mass., at a high school summer program. She also worked for a Senior Champions Tour PGA golf tournament. From July 2002 to July 2003, she taught English in a rural Japanese town. She now works at a private residence club in Scottsdale, Ariz., called the Rocks Club. … Robin (Perkins) Mosley and Benjamin Mosley ’00 live in Misawa, Japan. Ben flies F-16s and Robin is the base chapel youth minister as well as an aerobics instructor. … David Penny is in his second year of law school at Seattle University. … Gina Safro is returning to California to pursue a master’s degree in broadcast journalism after three years in Chicago.

Nicole Angle lives in the Los Angeles area. She works at the Walt Disney Co. in Burbank, Calif., as a senior research analyst for Disney’s adult cable networks. … Roger Barno started a small computer consulting company offering information technology services in and around the San Diego area. The company has grown at a great pace, and it is very exciting, he writes. … Andrea Bonanno completed her teaching credential at Cal State University, San Bernardino, and is teaching English at Poway High School. … Michael Marzicola is in automotive sales. He currently is the western region market sales representative for Cox Enterprises/Manheim Auctions. He writes that he believes his education, along with determination and hard work, got him to where he is today. … Kevin Reinholz is studying law at the University of Denver College of Law after teaching English in Japan for a year. He anticipates graduating in May 2007. … Elizabeth Rogers-Witte is a program development assistant at International Relief and Development, a nonprofit international development organization based in Arlington, Va. She moved to the Washington, D.C., area after college to work with a social service agency for one year through AmeriCorps. … Kimberly Romo is an anchor at KSBY-TV, the NBC affiliate in San Luis Obispo, Calif. She lives in Shell Beach, Calif. … John Saffer attends California Western School of Law.  “With a little hard work, along with an undying determination to achieve the most from life, anything is possible!” he writes. … Ginger White started her second year at the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine in September.

Katy Garcia is just working and trying to figure out what she’s going to do. … Joanna Hjorth joined New York Life insurance company after graduation. There she assists individuals, families and business owners with their financial planning.  … DeMar McGuire  is still living in San Diego and loving it. She works with dolphins at Sea World and has a great new apartment in the Point Loma neighborhood of San Diego. … Aubrey (Isom) Rockwood married U.S. Navy Lt. Jonathan Rockwood on Dec. 20, 2003, in Portland, Ore. The couple now live in Hawaii, where Aubrey substitute teaches. … U.S Navy Ensign Tyson Smith is acting in the Pensacola Theater while studying to be a Naval aviator. He has been nominated for the theater’s best supporting actor award.
GRADUATE AND LAW SCHOOL ALUMNI
Brandon Christensen (M.S.) is combat systems officer for the USS Portsmouth, a submarine stationed in San Diego’s Point Loma neighborhood. The craft soon will travel to Norfolk, Va., for decommissioning. … Barbara (Baker) Leach (D.N.Sc.) reports that she is doing just the usual: part-time teaching and working on papers to publish. Her big focus is high school activities and soccer with her 15-year-old son. … Christopher Yanov (M.A.) is founder of “Reality Changers: Agentes de Cambio.” He presented over $250,000 in scholarships in June, primarily to Latino high school students who will be the first in their families to attend college.
