Jimmy Frkovich ‘09 credits his experiences with the Center for Community Service-Learning (CSL) for his successes in relationship-building in Afghanistan. CSL Associate Director John Loggins says that the staff at USD “learned and grew as much from him as he did from us.”

Ali Cox ’01 decided to go full throttle, full time in order to make it to the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. Though the time commitment associated with such an auspicious endeavor is extensive to say the least, Cox revels in the challenge, rather than shrinking from it, saying, “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Fanny Maizel ’02 finds satisfaction in helping her clients cope during the very toughest time of their lives. Her work with San Diego Hospice is a required component of the master’s in counseling degree she’s working on at USD’s School of Leadership and Education Sciences.
