Message	U-T San Diego -- San Diego has hosted the symposium since 2002 after Inamori Foundation founder, Kazuo Inamori, formed a partnership with former University of San Diego President Alice Hayes, who had attended several Kyoto Prize ceremonies. Inamori, the billionaire Japanese businessman who founded high-tech manufacturer Kyocera, received an honorary degree from USD in 1996. (Full Story)
