Inside USD -- They can be up to two inches long, typically live in streams, canals, ditches and ponds and are named for their uniform, colorful horizontal blue stripes on the side of their bodies. The zebrafish is not only a popular aquarium fish, but it’s also an important model organism in scientific research.
