Students will enroll for either the 435-437 classes or the 485-87 classes depending on whether they are political science or international relations majors. Students are not majors in these disciplines can still participate in the Washington Center program and earn credits from other departments (with department approval).
Political science and international relations majors are able to apply 3 units of the internship credit to their major. The other 3 units will count as an elective. The Washington Center Course and the Independent Study can count towards the major.
The Washington Center Course will be taken in Washington, D.C. The course meets once a week for three hours. Students will choose this course in consultation with the Washington Center Campus Advisor.
The independent study will be taken with the Washington Center Campus Advisor. The student will complete a research paper for this course.
To enroll in any of these courses, students will need to contact Dr. Williams. Please note that while these exact course numbers may not appear in the official course schedules, they are nonetheless available to students after consultation with Dr. Williams.
