    Hayley Umayam

    Hayley Umayam (MAPJ 2013) is from Seattle, Washington. She currently works for Forcier Consulting in Juba, South Sudan as a Media Research Manager. In this role she directs and analyzes research that focuses to information sharing with vulnerable populations, audience research, and communication with communities. Prior to beginning this work, Umayam interned with the U.S. Department of Justice's Community Relations Service focusing on community-based conflict resolution of civil rights issues.  Read More

    Benjamin De Los Reyes

    Benjamin De Los Reyes (MAPJ 2007) is from Long Beach, California, since graduating from the MAPJ program, he has worked as a teacher of Peace and Justice in Catholic High Schools. De Los Reyes is also a board member of Concern America, an international development NGO that trains people in materially poor communities to be Health Promoter/Practitioners, to build and maintain clean water systems, and to develop income generating cooperative businesses.  Read More

  • Koffi  Hilaire Kouadjo

    Koffi Hilaire Kouadjo

    Koffi Hilaire Kouadjo (MAPJ 2010) is a native of Abidjan, Ivory Coast (Côte d’Ivoire), a French-speaking country in West Africa. Kouadjo taught Linguistics at the University of Cocody and is an Associate Professor. He is the founder and President of an NGO called RECEPE (Regional Center for Peace Education) which focuses on the promotion and culture of peace. Read More

    Jean Mendieta

    Jean Mendieta, MAPJ ’14, from Acapulco, Mexico, documented and researched Mexico’s Catholic Church peacebuilding pilot project located in Acapulco for her capstone project. The results of this participatory action research were published by Universidad Loyola of the Pacific, Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Caritas Mexico. Read More

  • Dramane  Coulibaly

    Dramane Coulibaly

    Dramane Coulilaby, (MAPJ '14), was born and raised in Abidjan, the capital of Côte d’Ivoire. He taught English for 10 years and received a master’s degree in English from the University of Abidjan. In 2004, Coulibaly joined the United Nations Operation in Côte d’Ivoire (UNOCI), which is focused on peacekeeping and peacebuilding, and worked there for ten years. He is fluent in Dioula, French and English, and brought extensive fieldwork experience to the master’s program. Upon graduation, Coulibaly returned to UNOCI, whose mission became even more challenging after violent disputed elections in 2010. Read More
