The presentations will focus on the atrocities against women and girls in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Learn more and take action to call for an end to the conflict and sexual violence epidemic. Raise the public profile of the Congo conflict and its impact, help protect and empower Congo’s women and girls, and bring lasting peace.
Panelists and special guests include John Prendergast (co-chair of the Enough Project and Joan B. Kroc Peace Scholar), Jimmie Briggs (author of Innocents Lost: When Child Soldiers Go to War and goodwill ambassador for the UN), Lisa Shannon (creator of Run for Congo Women), and Emmanuelle Chriqui (Actress), Candice Knezevic (Congo campaign manager).
Following the presentation, John Prendergast will sign copies of Not On Our Watch that he co-wrote with actor and activist, Don Cheadle. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event.
