Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice Moves into Latin America

When the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice was established in 2001, Guatemala was one of four countries identified as focus areas. One of the first participants of the IPJ’s Women PeaceMaker’s program was from Guatemala.
The IPJ was founded by philanthropist Joan B. Kroc to foster peace, cultivate justice and create a safer world. Evidence of the institute’s work can be witnessed in the eight years of work and successes seen in Nepal. Now, the IPJ is taking a closer look at extending its reach into Latin America.
