Secretary-General Appoints Jane Holl Lute of United States as Assistant Secretary-General for Peacebuilding Support

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today announced the appointment of Jane Holl Lute of the United States as Assistant Secretary-General for Peacebuilding Support, to replace Carolyn McAskie.

The Secretary-General is grateful for Ms. McAskie’s dedicated service in establishing the peacebuilding architecture since the creation of the Peacebuilding Support Office in 2006 and her leadership, which contributed greatly to the achievement of its goals. (Original article)
