William Ury, Ph.D., co-founder and senior fellow of the Harvard Negotiation Project and co-author of Getting to Yes: Negotiating Agreement Without Giving In will be the keynote speaker for the Greening Borders: Cooperation, Security and Diplomacy for the Joan B. Peacemakers in Residence at the IPJ
The 2009 Women PeaceMakers, Marta Benavides of El Salvador, Rubina Feroze Bhatti of Pakistan, Zeinab Mohamed Blandia Tutu of Sudan and Liza Llesis Saway of the Philippines, will be in residence at the IPJ until November 6. The peacemakers have been selected to participate in the IPJ Women PeaceMakers Program which documents the stories and best practices of international women leaders involved in human rights and peacemaking efforts in their home countries. They have been giving a series of presentations throughout San Diego county on their peacemaking work through public talks and media outreach.
