2012 Visiting Scholar

The Trans-Border Institute is pleased to welcome Visiting Scholar Constanza Sánchez Avilés. Ms. Avilés is a PhD candidate in international relations at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Spain. Since 2007 she has worked as a teaching assistant at the ​​Department of Public International Law and International Relations at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where she completed her master thesis, entitled "The US war on drugs in Latin America. A study of new forms of hegemonic action".  Ms. Avilés has been a visiting scholar at the University of Miami in 2010 and did fieldwork on drug policies in Peru 2009.
