WorldLink Year-Round Activities

Working closely with teachers and the community, WorldLink is able to provide a comprehensive educational experience for students. Youth determine topics for many WorldLink activities and events, ensuring that the issues engage and interest students, as well as challenge them.

Activities include:

  • Youth Town Meeting (YTM): a free conference for high school students from San Diego and Baja Mexico that takes place each January, addressing the complexities and challenges of global affairs.
  • Youth Forums featuring international leaders and experts who engage in dialogue with students.
  • Workshops: specialized meetings that connect globally minded youth through interactive activities and discussions with guest speakers.
  • High School Internships that explore global topics through various projects, including the WorldLink Reader - a resource that provides background knowledge on topics of the annual YTM.
  • WorldLink Newspaper: a bilingual publication that provides students the opportunity to cover global events, issues and concerns.
  • WorldLink Clubs: student-run clubs established at high school campuses in the greater San Diego and Baja Mexico regions that promote WorldLink's mission.
  • Junior Model United Nations: a co-sponsored conference for different San Diego schools each May.
