Carmen Dyck worked with Zahra Ugas Farah of Somalia and wrote the narrative "Building the Base of the Community." She lives in Saskatoon, Canada and works for a university- and community-based institute on quality of life and poverty issues. She, her husband and two children have an organic orchard and retreat center on their berry farm in rural Saskatoon and run a Community Supported Agriculture Project.

Yasmin Gatal-Hashimoto worked with Raya Kadyrova of Kyrgyzstan and contributed to the narrative "If You See Something Wrong." After her time as a peace writer, she returned to the Philippines and consulted on various development projects. She was also fundraising officer for the Nonviolent Peaceforce's Philippines Project.

Allison Meeks worked with Hyun-Sook Kim Lee of South Korea and wrote the narrative "Color from Shadows." She received her M.A. in China studies from the Henry W. Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington in 2004. In 2008, she graduated with a J.D. with a concentration in international law from Suffolk University Law School in Boston.

Ruth Mastron worked with Dalit Baum of Israel. She has authored several books, including Au Contraire! Figuring Out the French; Culural Detective: France; Francais et Americains: Ces differences qui nous rapprochent; and Cultural Detective: Jewish Culture.
