IPJ interns Meghan Auker Becker, Felicia Gomez, and Andrew Paul will deliver presentations on their research. The research is based in part on the countries that the interns have been covering during the fall semester for their weekly publication, the Peace & Justice Update. Meghan Auker Becker will take up the question of whether the United Nations Stabilization Mission to Haiti should be withdrawn. Felicia Gomez will explore the situation of internally-displaced persons (in Somalia) and refugees (in Kenya) within the context of current Kenya-Somalia relations. Andrew Paul will compare the nature of ethnic conflicts in Sri Lanka on the one hand, and in the Terai region of Nepal on the other. Light refreshments will be served.
