PeaceMakers and Deputy Director Attend Policy Forum in D.C.

On January 18, IPJ Deputy Director Dee Aker was in Washington, D.C., for a policy forum on “Women Mediating Conflict,” hosted by the Institute for Inclusive Security. Joining Aker at the forum were Women PeaceMakers Shukrije Gashi of Kosovo, Luz Mendez of Guatemala and Raya Kadryova of Kyrgyzstan. Participants explored whether women mediators can change the focus, dynamic and outcome of peace negotiations.
