Fellow Countrymen Bid for Peace in Israel
Inside USD--Israeli Miko Peled and Palestinian Nader Elbanna spoke of their hope for peace in their native country at the IPJ Theatre.
Inside a University of San Diego building where people are dedicated to peace, a visible and tangible symbol of its healing power was displayed by Miko Peled and Nader Elbanna Tuesday night.
“We need people who are trained in peacemaking,” said Peled, who is from Israel. “We want to move you to learn more … and to act. This is not simple.”
Peled shared the stage with Palestinean Elbanna, each speaking for 30 minutes in a discussion of the recent attacks on Gaza by the Israeli military and issues that have prevented a path to peace in Israel. They made a passionate plea for the audience to join them in making a difference. (Full story)
