Biography
Ilze DzenovskaProject Coordinator Ilze Dzenovska, M.A. - primary works on developing and coordinating a working conference project "Greening Borders: Cooperation, Security and Diplomacy" that focuses on transborder water management issues between US and Mexico. Ilze also works with alumni relations. Ilze also worked as peace writer with the Woman PeaceMakers Program at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice (IPJ) at USD and as Fulbright student she completed her graduate studies in Peace and Justice at the School of Peace Studies. Prior to joining KSPS in 2007, from 2003 Ilze worked at the Centre for Public Policy PROVIDUS as researcher and project director in the area of Criminal Justice Policy, particularly focusing on victims’ rights advocacy, restorative justice, community policing and police performance evaluation. She also served as an editorial team member for a public policy website (www.policy.lv), focusing on gender equality and criminal justice issues. During her professional career Dzenovska has worked closely with decision makers, representatives of civil society and media and international scholars while organizing national and international working conferences, implementing study visits, pilot projects and drafting legislation.
