Biography

Octavio Rodriguez

Visiting Fellow

A native of Aguascalientes, Mexico, Octavio Rodriguez, is the Trans-Border Institute's 2009 visiting fellow.

Octavio attended Universidad Panamericana (UP) Law School and completed postgraduate studies in Mexican Civil Law Procedure at UP, and Human Rights at Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha in Spain. Currently he is a law doctoral candidate at UP. Octavio worked for 2 and half years as Chief of the Public Law and full-time professor at UP. It was at UP that Octavio came into contact with TBI and the Justice in Mexico Project, for which he helped coordinate events in Mexico.

His academic and professional interests include international law, human rights law, immigration and trans-border issues.
