| Message | On Sunday, Aug. 12, the University of San Diego held a special mass at 3 p.m. in Founder's Chapel to reflect on the upcoming cross-country pilgrimage of the Caravan for Peace, which will travel from San Diego to Washington, D.C. to call attention to recent violence in Mexico. This caravan is part of a movement initiated by Javier Sicilia after the tragic murder of his son led to protests by thousands of other victims throughout Mexico in the "Movement for Peace and Dignity." The mass was conducted with Spanish readings and songs, and was followed by a 4 p.m. public program, hosted by the Trans-Border Institute, in the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice Theatre. |
