Marisa Alioto is the Assistant Director of Graduate Student Services for the Master of Arts in Peace and Justice Studies Program. Her primary responsibilities include outreach and recruitment to prospective students, career services, one-stop services, and field research and internship coordination for current MA students.
Alioto has over twelve years of professional experience in academic and student affairs. At the University of California, San Diego, she worked with undergraduates as an Academic Advisor and Degree Coordinator at John Muir College. She later transitioned into international education as a Study Abroad Advisor and Outreach Coordinator for the Programs Abroad Office. Alioto also volunteered as a Community Advisor for an Alternative Spring Break service trip to Yaroslavl, Russia.
Traveling the world is one of Alioto’s passions, and she has been fortunate to visit an array of diverse locations. As an undergraduate, she studied abroad in Granada, Spain, and has since traveled to 19 countries throughout the world.
Alioto received her B.A. in Communication from the University of California, San Diego.
