Career Development for Peace and Justice Changemakers

Empowering Your Future as a Peacebuilder

The Kroc School equips Master of Arts in Peace and Justice (MAPJ) students with the skills and professional growth they need for a successful career by providing experiential learning inside and outside of the classroom.

Mentors can accelerate career growth, exposing students to opportunities and experiences that can serve as a foundation for their future. This year-long, voluntary program matches students with practicing professionals to provide mentoring in career planning.

Career Planning

The Kroc School 2-Year Career Planning Guide

Navigating a career in creating social change can be challenging. MAPJ students can follow a Kroc School two-year career planning guide with essential timelines, tips and tactics to plan their path.

MAPJ students grow their professional portfolio through real-world practice. Students are required to complete one academic summer internship, detailed on the internship page. Internships may focus on social innovation, human rights advocacy, social justice, youth leadership, environmental policy, as well as law enforcement, government and religious pursuits.

In addition to activities designed specifically for peace and justice students, the Kroc School ensures students have even more opportunities for professional growth. Check out our Career Development Page to learn more about career planning and how the Kroc School creates career-ready graduates.
