The names and faces behind border issues.
First-person narratives add a human side to policy-based debates about the U.S.-Mexico border. They make it easier to empathize with strangers and harder to dismiss them as faceless threats to personal security, cultural identity, and economic prosperity. At the Trans-Border Institute, we're developing a series of spoken-word podcasts and biographies to share the stories of those whose lives are forever impacted by the border. Together, we can spotlight individuals who accurately reflect this region's heart, soul and truth.
