Women PeaceMakers Program

Explore our network of women activists.

Our network of women peacemakers and human rights defenders spans more than 35 countries. With the support of the Women PeaceMakers program, we hope to enable them to create safer, more stable and prosperous societies.

Our award-winning Women PeaceMakers program documents the stories and best practices of women leaders and grassroots activists who bravely challenge extremism, violence and inequality on the frontlines of conflict around the world. Our network of women peacebuilders and human rights defenders spans more than 35 countries. When these leaders are supported, they are able to create safer, more stable and prosperous societies.

We do this through:

  • connecting Women PeaceMakers with esteemed peers and to influential policymakers, practitioners, donors and researchers who can help advance their work.
  • providing a unique platform for the women to reflect on and document the challenges and lessons learned from their decades of experience.
  • connecting these women with the community in San Diego through events and programs we host.
  • bringing corporate leaders together to learn from these incredible leaders.
