Extended Parking on Campus During the Summer Months

Dear USD Students,

As the Spring Semester begins to wrap up, we’d like to share some information regarding extended parking on campus during the summer months. If you will be traveling outside of San Diego over the summer, you are permitted to leave your vehicle on campus, as long as you have a valid parking permit displayed. Annual and Spring parking permits expire on August 31, 2016.

Due to a number of planned construction projects taking place on campus, it is crucial that vehicles are left only in the following locations, in accordance with your current permit:

  • Commuter Students – Fringe area (B1-B3, basement levels) of the West Parking Structure
  • Vistas Residents – Vistas Parking Areas
  • Manchester Residents – Either of the two Manchester Parking Garages
  • Valley Housing and Maher Residents – Levels 1 & 2 of the Mission Parking Structure (To avoid relocation of your vehicle, please do NOT leave vehicles in the surface lots surrounding the Valley Housing buildings).
  • Camino and Founders Residents – Residential (bottom) level of the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice Parking Garage

Additionally, if you intend to leave your vehicle on campus, please complete the this form prior to your departure from San Diego.

Please contact the Parking Services Office if you plan to leave your vehicle unattended on campus during the Fall Semester as well, so that we can make arrangements for your vehicle.

As a reminder, please be advised that the parking rules and regulations are enforced year-round including intersession, summers, holidays, dead days, move in/out days and finals. You must park in your regularly-assigned area during these times.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our office. On behalf of the entire Parking Services Staff, we’d like to wish you good luck on your finals, and we hope you have a great summer!
