Housing and Room Assignments
Room assignments will be distributed to new students in July 2011. Be sure the student completes the Online Housing Application by the noted date on the Residential Life website.
Detailed descriptions of housing options, student policies and procedures and information on residence hall programs, are available at www.sandiego.edu/residentiallife.
The Department of Residential Life publishes the newsletter Living On at USD several times each academic year.
The newsletter provides important information about policies and issues that affect residents while they are in university residence halls. Look for the publications in August, December and February. Issues of Living On at USD are available online at www.sandiego.edu/residentiallife.
Room assignments, will be mailed to all residents in early August. Campus occupancy is for the entire academic year (both fall and spring semesters). Please take note of resident hall closures during holidays and breaks. In certain circumstances, students may pay an additional fee for early arrivals following breaks and holidays.
During the spring semester, students will make their housing arrangements for the following academic year. There are three options for the room selection process: Squatter’s Rights, Stratified Lottery or Residential Learning Communities (RLC).
All housing selection processes require a $250 non-refundable prepayment. Dates and details for the sign-up process will be published in Housing Sign Ups Living On at USD.
