The Torero Countdown is USD's comprehensive freshmen orientation program. The Torero Countdown begins May 1, continues through the summer until classes begin on September 4. The Torero Countdown includes a checklist that must be met prior to your student's arrival at USD.
OLÉ Weekend (Orientation Launch Events) is a subset of the Torero Countdown. OLÉ Weekend for Parents/Famiies serves as an introduction to learn about various resources and opportunities available to you and your student. The goal is to equip you with information to better support your student with their transition to USD.
OLÉ Weekend for Parents/Families is a separate program that runs concurrently with OLÉ Weekend for Students. Families will engage in informational sessions, workshops and activities that will inform you about the overall culture and workings of USD. Please plan to join us.
