Dear USD Parents and Families,
Oh my, it’s May! Where did the time go? Students have been in the home stretch since they came back from Spring Break and are about to approach the finish line after finals. Continue to support your student during this vital month. Send him or her an encouraging message via phone, email or even a care package.
The support of parents and family is very important.
We know that we couldn't have had a successful USD Parent Corps Service Project without the support of the parents and students that participated in last month's project. See the complete album of photos as your fellow Toreros helped turn a house into a home for a deserving San Diego family. Thank you to all those who came out to the event and a special thank you to Republic Services and the Clayton Family for sponsoring the project!
We also hope we have been supportive to you and your family in keeping you informed and connected to USD through our newsletter. This will be the last newsletter until September. To stay connected over the summer, follow us on Facebook and visit our website for updates on events.
Have a wonderful summer and congratulations to all the graduating Seniors and their families!

Monthly LLC Spotlight: Honors
Throughout this school year, we have highlighted a different Living Learning Communities (LLC) each month. Though relatively new at USD, they have transformed the First Year Experience for the better. There are 9 LLCs, each with its own central theme and mission. They give first-year students a platform for connecting with professors, administrators, and fellow students. We hope you have enjoyed learning about most of the LLCs as we highlighted their theme, their activities, and how they promote personal growth. For our last spotlight, we will focus on Honors. This is a special LLC that is focused on students dedicated to academic excellence. Continue reading...
