Sips for Scholarships: Another Success!

The 3rd Annual Sips for Scholarships provided a venue for community, networking, Torero spirit building and, most importantly, fundraising for the Parent Partnership Fund.
This philanthropic weekend event brought together USD parents, alumni, friends and administrators for a Soirée in Sonoma, while USD moms enjoyed a weekend of Sonoma’s best.  USD President, Dr. Mary Lyons welcomed guests at the Sips Soirée at Gloria Ferrer winery for an evening of wine tasting, fabulous food and silent auction.  The event raised $15,000 for rising senior students experiencing unexpected financial hardship.  Over the last three years, the Parent Partnership Fund has supported 46 students to complete their degree and graduate from USD.
“We’re proud of our efforts and know that these funds are truly making a difference in these students’ lives”, shares Renda Quinn, Director of Parent Relations.  “We thank all of our sponsors and supporters of this event.

A special thanks to our event sponsor, Bartell Hotels.”
Watch for the next year’s Sips for Scholarships event and plan on joining in the Torero spirit.
