Welcome to our E-Newsletter!
It’s hard to believe that April is here; spring break has come and gone and final exams are right around the corner. Spring is a wonderful time in San Diego and we hope your student will take time to enjoy the outdoors, perhaps with USD Outdoor Adventures.
It’s an exciting time on campus! Seniors are preparing for Commencement May 24-25 while rising sophomore, junior, and senior students are deciding which residence hall to live in next year. USD spring sports are in action, and end-of-the-year events are on the horizon. Encourage your student to continue to manage academics, social events, exercising, and other healthy habits to prepare for the final exams week, May 16-22. Click here to read more.
All members of the class of 2014, along with their families and friends, are encouraged to attend the traditional Baccalaureate Mass at 5 p.m., May 24 at the Jenny Craig Pavilion. Tickets are not required. While the liturgy is a Eucharistic celebration in the Catholic tradition, students and families of all faith traditions are warmly welcomed. The Mass is an opportunity to thank God for the many gifts received during students' time at USD as well as ask God’s blessing on our graduates as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives.
LIFE Week, March 31-April 4, celebrates the dignity of the human person by drawing attention to a variety of life challenges. This year’s topics include human trafficking, homelessness, immigration, abortion/adoption, and HIV/AIDS. For more information, visit www.sandiego.edu/um.
Commencement is May 24-25
For more information on Commencement, including ticket, webcast, and guest accommodation information, parking, schedule of events, and much more, please review the Commencement website. "Like” University of San Diego Commencement on Facebook to view current updates and reminders.

Internships for Students Today, getting an internship could mean an advantage in the job market after graduation. For a student to land a quality internship in their desired career field provides many benefits including: getting their ‘foot in the door’, networking with career professionals, understanding what the job entails, gaining professional skills and building their resume. USD parents are helping students by offering quality internships from their companies or from companies within their network. We need your help to uncover these opportunities. Click here to learn more.

Copley Library is one of the first 50 schools to embark on a new wave of access for their alumni by subscribing to JSTOR Alumni Access. USD alumni can access a seminal database that has been available to USD for over ten years. JSTOR is an interdisciplinary digital archival library that supports scholarship and teaching. Collections from JSTOR include the Arts & Sciences Collections, the Ecology & Botany Collection, and the Health & General Sciences Collection. Click here to learn how to access JSTOR.
